David Acker founded several medical device companies including “Biosense”, acquired by Johnson and Johnson, now “Biosense Webster, Inc.”. David holds 33 US Patents for medical devices in the field of minimally invasive surgery. David is the Vice Chairman of the Stony Brook Foundation managing the Stony Brook University endowment. He is a Member of the Board of Directors of Gradian Health Systems, LLC and an International Advisory Board Member of the Turkana Basin Institute in Kenya. David established and owns Harmony Vineyards. David is a TECLens cofounder.

David received his ScD from Stony Brook University.
